Initiatives
Empowering Cayman’s Youth: Financial Literacy & Grants
Building a strong financial future starts with knowledge and opportunity.
The National Youth Commission is dedicated to supporting young Caymanians through two key initiatives:
Financial Literacy Programme
Gain essential money management skills through the McGill Personal Finance Essentials Course—a free online programme designed to help Caymanians aged 14 to 25 build confidence in budgeting, investing, and financial planning. Complete the course, pass the final exam, and receive a KYD 250 award upon successful completion.
Youth Grants
Since 1995, youth grants have provided financial support to organisations that empower young Caymanians. The National Youth Commission now oversees quarterly grant disbursements to fund impactful youth programs, ensuring access to high-quality services and resources.
National Youth Policy
The National Youth Commission follows the National Youth Policy’s guidelines to foster the development of resilience in our Nation’s youth while embracing the Cayman culture.
